A poor showing in the opening round against Northridge was remedied by three straight victories for the Heritage Patriots at the West Noble Invite on Saturday.
Playing in a best-of-three format, the Patriots came out flat against the Raiders and fell, 25-16, 25-19.

The team responded with some of their best volleyball of the season so far and beat Argos. That win pitted them against Lakewood Park Christian in the third round, where the team had little trouble, winning 25-21 and 25-12.
In the final round of the day, the Pats downed East Noble 25-22, 25-13.
Heritage will face their toughest challenge of the year so far when they play at Carroll on Tuesday.
