The Norwell Knights showed their superiority Thursday with a convincing win on the back nine at Cross Creek to beat the Bellmont Braves.
Norwell shot a 189, with No. 1 Ellie Gatton taking medalist honors with a 42. Gatton’s game was on full display Thursday as she played the three long Par 5s on the circuit at even par.

Savanna Zimmerman had an excellent birdie on the Par 3 13th hole for the Knights.

The Braves round of 231 was not their best golf, but they did get two solid scores from their No. 4 and 5.

Ava Billman recorded her best back nine of the season and shot 62, with bogeys on 16 and 17.

Lyla Post cut eight strokes from her previous back nine trot, shooting 59 and finishing with the second best round on the team behind No. 1 Ella Hockemeyer, who shot a 50 (also her best round of year on those nine holes).
