It all came down to No. 1 doubles Thursday between Bellmont and Leo.
After Bellmont scored wins at No. 1 singles and at No. 2 doubles, the top doubles teams for the Braves and Lions went deep into the third set to decide the winner of the NE8 match at Leo.

Ultimately, it was the Leo team of Sophie Amstutz and Medline Lamont who took the third 7-5, but it was the valiant effort of Marisol Jackson and Isabelle Ortiz in the second set to come back and force the third that was most admirable.
The junior varsity matches were cut short due to lightning in the area.
The Braves have one week of the regular season remaining before the IHSAA Sectional.
