Adams Memorial Hospital has announced plans to provide free breast cancer screenings and diagnostic mammograms to women who meet financial criteria.
A grant from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness trust (IBCAT) is allowing the hospital to provide free screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast MRI, breast ultrasounds, and ultrasound guided breast biopsies to area women who meet financial criteria, according to a hospital announcement.
Women who think they may qualify are urged to call the hospital’s central scheduling department – 724- 2145, ext. 11047 – and request an application.
In addition to the screening and diagnostic exams, the announcement said, the grant also includes the reading of the tests by a board-certified physician from the Summit Radiology group in Fort Wayne.
