Adams Central showed where they stand in the local tennis scene with a dominating performance Thursday evening in Berne, dropping just one set to the South Adams Starfires en route to a 5-0 victory.
Macy McClure dropped the opening set against Abby Claghorn, but played well to get back into the match, taking the second and third sets comfortably.
With prom this weekend for both schools, the two teams will not play this weekend. Adams Central will have a very tough test with Leo at home Monday.
South Adams will use Monday’s match against New Haven as a confidence booster for a tough task against Norwell Wednesday.
