Two new officers have been sworn in as members of the Decatur Police Department and began their field training this week.
Joseph Collier and Luke Roby officially became members of the department during a ceremony at City Hall.
Both are 21 years old and graduates of Adams Central High School.
They will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield at a later date.
Roby is a native of Adams County, the son of Josh and Kelly Roby. Colllier is the son of Randall and Julie Collier and is engaged to wed Sage Hammond in October.
Both men had been employed in the jail division of the sheriff’s department.
