Adams Central’s softball team opened their season on Monday night at Shenandoah, and had to hang on for a 6-4 victory in a game that was called after 6 innings due to darkness. Lilly Jackson started in the circle and got the win on a day where both teams pitchers struggled with control, combining for 12 walks. The Lady Jets were out hit by the Raiders 6-5, with Brinlee Rinkenberger hitting a pair of singles. AC will open their home slate on Thursday when they take on Eastside.
