State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle) welcomed two local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
“It’s always great to see students from my district participate in the page program,” Holdman said. “It’s a unique opportunity for them to see how the legislative process operates firsthand. I encourage all Hoosier students to participate in this learning opportunity.”
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
