As the girls basketball season winds down across the Hoosier state, conferences are announcing their all-conference teams and it’s no surprise that the top ACAC teams took most of the spots in the first team of this year’s selections.
Jay County finished another spotless ACAC season with a 6-0 record and placed two girls on the first team, seniors Molly Muhlenkamp and Sophie Saxman.
Bluffton finished the season in second place and had two juniors on the first team, as well. Isabella Stout and Maryn Schreiber will both return next season to push Bluffton to the top of the conference heap.
Woodlan’s Taylor Kneubuhler and South Adams’ Macy Pries rounded out the first-team honors. Pries had an outstanding season, surpassing the 1000-point mark mid-year and climbing the list of all-time scorers in Adams County history as the team finished 3-3 in the conference.
Pries was also a first-team selection as a junior. She averaged 20 points per game this season and finished her career with 1362 points, putting her third all-time in Adams County behind Natalie Young and Grace Hunter.
Pries led all players in the state with 180 free throws made.
