Senior Dylan Velez did it all Tuesday night, leading all scorers with 18 points as the Bellmont Braves moved to 17-3 with a 64-35 victory over the South Adams Starfires.
The Braves, who are just outside the Top 10 of the 3A AP poll, have received votes in the overall coaches poll in the last week. Having already won their first conference title since 2005, the program has its sights set on winning a sectional title, something that also hasn’t happened since coach Busick won in ’05.

The Braves have two games this weekend, hosting Bluffton on Friday and Bishop Luers on Saturday. They will travel to Dwenger on Tuesday before returning home for the regular season finale against Jay County next Friday. The Senior Night game against the Patriots will be broadcast on WZBD, as will all of the Braves’ postseason games.
