The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) is pleased to announce that the Indiana Women in Need (IWIN) Foundation has recently been awarded a grant for Adams County Survivor Support. With this grant award, IWIN provided support to Adams County Cancer patients with grocery and prescription medication. In 2023, Indiana Women in Need served fifteen Adams County cancer patients.
Debbie Laswell, Indiana Women in Need Foundation Development and Program Manager, expressed appreciation to the ACCF for this support, which provided support for Adams County residents experiencing cancer.
Audra Snyder, ACCF BoD and grants committee member, added that the ACCF is pleased to provide this support to Indiana Women in Need organization that provides assistance for Adams County residents.
This ACCF grant was made possible through unrestricted fund sponsored by the Cletus & Bette Miller Community Enrichment Fund.
Clete and Bette Miller are best known for their entrepreneurial work with the establishment of the popular Back 40 Junction. For those that worked with the Adams Memorial Hospital EMS, they remember that Bette was best known for her involvement with the EMS. Both Clete and Bette significantly influenced Adams County with their ingenuity, work ethic, professionalism, and notable additions to our community.
