A strong showing in the final event of the evening clinched a victory for the South Adams Starfish Tuesday against county rival Bellmont.
Notes & Times:
-Brooklyn Brownlow swam her best butterfly time of the season despite a lack of competition, securing important points for the Braves early in the meet.
-Calah Hill (SA) swam her best 500 of the season and beat out Emma Howell for third-place points.
-Hannah Scott score first-place points for the Starfires with a season-best time in the backstroke, edging out Bellmont’s Brooklyn Brownlow.
-The Starfires clinched the victory in style with a close win in the 400 relay, with Julia Arnold, Ava Kinsey, Nia Litwiller and GenaMarie Summersett teaming up to set a new season mark of 4:21.27 to beat out Bellmont’s top foursome.
-That Bellmont foursome was Bella Ashley, Brooklyn Brownlow, Ella Hockemeyer and Shaylin McCray and they turned in the best time of any Braves combination this season, but it wasn’t enough to catch the Starfires.
