Adams County Highway officials say they are ready, but they want local residents to help them out by “shaking their mailboxes.”

Yoder adds that the Adams County Highway Department will not assume responsibility for mailbox damage that may be caused by snow and ice that is being plowed from roadways. That is why they want you to shake your mailbox to check it for winter readiness.
