The promotion of Mitch Baumann to Captain within the Decatur Fire Department has been announced by Chief Jeff Sheets.
Baumann began his career in the fire service in 1995 as a volunteer with the local department. After nine years, he became a full-time member of the local FD.
In 2017, he was promoted to Investigator.
Jeff and his wife, Angie, are the parents of two children, Madilyn and Jacob.
