Another season of IHSAA volleyball on the radio will begin Tuesday night when Bellmont meets Mississinewa at Norwell.

The past two seasons (and three of the last four) have ended at Worthen Arena for the Bellmont Braves and, in turn, for 92.7 FM. The provisional sectional schedule has WZBD covering all three Adams County teams over the course of the first week of the tournament.
Here is a look at all the local sectionals:
4A at DeKalb
Thursday
FW Snider (11-13) vs. DeKalb (18-10), 6 p.m.
East Noble (9-18) vs. FW Northrop (12-15), 7:30 p.m.
Saturday
Carroll (FW) (24-6) vs. Snider/DeKalb, 11 a.m.
FW North Side (6-20) vs. EN/Northrop, 12:30 p.m.
Carroll are the clear favorites here, having played a difficult schedule this year. The Chargers have one of the longest sectional streaks in any sport in Indiana, having won every sectional volleyball match they’ve played since 2009.

4A at Homestead
Thursday
Homestead (21-9) vs. FW South Side (8-20), 6 p.m.
Columbia City (17-12) vs. Huntington North (18-12), 7:30 p.m.
Saturday
FW Wayne (6-21) vs. Homestead/South Side, 10:30 a.m.
New Haven (10-15) vs. Col. City/Hunt. No., Noon

3A at Angola
Tuesday
Bishop Dwenger (18-8) vs. Angola (30-1), 6 p.m.
Thursday
Heritage (11-17) vs. Concordia Lutheran (18-10), 5:30 p.m.
Leo (21-7) vs. Woodlan (24-5), 7:00 p.m.
Saturday
Garrett (18-10) vs. BD/Angola, 11 a.m.
Thursday winners, 1 p.m.
Angola are heavy favorites to advance out of this tournament as the two-time defending champions, but they face several proud programs along the way, beginning with Bishop Dwenger. On the other side of the bracket are two very good teams in Leo and Woodlan, who will play one of the best scheduled matches Thursday night.
Angola’s only loss this year came against Carroll (FW).
The winner of this sectional will take on the winner of the Norwell sectional in the first round of the Norwell Regional.

3A at Norwell
Tuesday
Mississinewa (11-12) vs. Bellmont (28-2), 7 p.m.
Thursday
Peru (4-22) vs. Norwell (19-12), 6 p.m.
Maconaquah (10-20) vs. Northwestern (12-15), 7:30 p.m.
Saturday
Oak Hill (20-9) vs. Bellmont/Mississinewa, 11 a.m.
Thursday winners, 12:30 p.m.
Championship Match-6 p.m.
The Bellmont Braves have not lost a sectional volleyball match since October of 2004, having collected the last 18 IHSAA sectional trophies. The Braves are unlikely to be challenged by Mississinewa Tuesday, but Oak Hill will test the Braves Saturday morning. Bellmont fans will be hoping for a big day Saturday at Norwell. With wins this week by the soccer team (Thursday) and the volleyball team (Tuesday), there would be a potential three contests for Bellmont girls teams on the Norwell campus, with the volleyball team playing in the gym at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and the soccer team playing at the football stadium at 4:30 p.m.

3A at New Castle
Thursday
Jay County (15-14) vs. Centerville (12-15), 7 p.m.
Saturday
New Castle (24-8) vs. Delta (9-13), 11 a.m.
Frankton vs. JC/Centerville, 12:30 p.m.

2A at Bluffton
Thursday
Adams Central (21-10) vs. Bishop Luers (8-22), 6 p.m.
Whitko (18-12) vs. Bluffton (10-19), 7:30 p.m.

Saturday
Manchester (14-15) vs. AC/BL, 11 a.m.
South Adams (26-4) vs. Whitko/Bluffton, 12:30 p.m.
Championship at 7 p.m.
This tournament looks destined to be a rubber match between Adams Central and South Adams. The Starfires may have the advantage with their tournament history and playing in a five-set format, but the atmosphere Saturday night if that matchup happens could be electric.
1A at Southwood
Thursday
Lakeland Christian (9-10) vs. Southern Wells (1-22), 7 p.m.
Saturday
Southwood (26-4) vs. Caston (24-7), 11 a.m.
Northfield (22-7) vs. LC/SW, 12:30 p.m.
