Fall has arrived and Decatur Main Street is planning to celebrate with a special event for the community.
A Fall for Decatur Festival will be held on the Madison St. Plaza from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6. All sorts of fun and games are planned – including Chili Cook-off and a Halloween-themed movie outdoors.
Pumpkin bowling and bobbing for apples are on the schedule, with cider and food to be available.
Admission will be free.
“Do you think your secret chili recipe is the best in town? Here’s your chance to prove it,” Main Street officials say. “Bring your A-game and compete against fellow chili enthusiasts for the title of ‘Chili Champion.’”
The evening will wrap up with a free showing of a Halloween classic, “Hocus Pocus,” starting at 8:30.
And, of course, popcorn will be available for purchase!
