The Adams Central Jets are still trying to get healthy and Tuesday’s match was an uphill climb against the Jay County Patriots without one varsity player and with another still recovering from illness. The result was a somewhat disappointing 4-1 loss to their ACAC rivals.
Senior Abraham Dirksen battled for a win in both sets against Ean Brown, who, as mentioned, is still not back to 100% after missing some time with an illness this weekend. Dirksen took his match 6-4, 7-5.
The Jets also had to make a change to the doubles lineup as they await the return of Cody Ausland at No. 1 doubles. The Patriots took advantage of the unfamiliarity of the Jets teams, dropping just four games in the four-set sweep of the two matches.
