The long trip to Noble Hawk yielded an important win for the Bellmont Braves Wednesday as they downed East Noble 202-211 to guarantee a finish in the top half of the NE8.
“This was a good effort on a difficult course that resulted in a nice win,” said head coach Mike Macke. “The greens were very quick and there were a few really tough pin placements.”
The Braves got solid rounds from Krosbi Butler and Meghan Pettibone, with both seniors shooting 49.
East Noble’s Lily Oburn was medalist at 46, but the Knights’ next-best score was a 53.
The Leo match, which was rained out on Tuesday, will be played next Tuesday for the Braves and will replace the originally-scheduled match with Heritage.
