VOLLEYBALL:

At the Stardome, South Adams and Parkway battled back and forth for 5 sets, and the Starfires would pull out the victory 18-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-16, 15-10. Macy Pries led the way with 17 kills and 23 digs on the night. Avery Brown had 5 aces, Gracy Bixler had 3 blocks, and Laney Trausch had 29 assists in the game. South Adams improves to 11-2.
It also was a 5 set thriller at the Hangar, but Adams Central would fall to Huntington North 22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 19-25, 10-15. Hillary Tobias had 18 kills and 3 aces on the night, while Mati Henry had 17 digs and 50 assists. The Jets are now 6-5.
Bluffton would go on the road to defeat Marion 25-9, 25-22, 25-17. Marly Drayer had 4 aces and 15 digs, Haley Gibson dished 21 assists, and Maryn Schreiber had 13 kills. The Tigers are now 2-7 on the season.
Norwell defeated Southern Wells at The Castle 25-11, 25-9, 25-2. Macie Saalfrank and Hope Mitchell had 7 kills apiece, while Emma Vachon served up 7 aces. Norwell improves to 7-3 on the season.
BOYS SOCCER:
Norwell would travel to Bellmont for a NE8 matchup and come away with the 2-1 victory. The Knights (2-3, 1-0 NE8) would get goals from Kyler Morris and Cooper Sloan. Lane Lewis had an assist, while Noah Fromm had 13 saves. The Braves (1-2, 0-1 NE8) would get their lone goal from Daniel Vogel, assisted by Jack Hackman. Parker Frietas had 7 saves.
Heritage traveled to Concordia and the game finished 0-0. The Patriots mustered only 4 shots on goal, while Toby Henning had 5 saves. Heritage is 2-2-1 on the season.
GIRLS SOCCER
Bellmont took to the road and picked up the conference victory over Norwell…read the story here…
South Adams fell at Jay County 7-1. The lone goal was scored by Emmerson Smith, assisted by Abby Claghorn. The Starfires are 1-3-1 on the season, and 0-1 in the ACAC.
Heritage picked up the victory at Woodlan 2-0. Goals were scored by Nin Way and Libby Cain, while Ava Smith assisted on both goals. Corinne Bowers had 25 saves in goal for the Patriots (4-1, 3-0 ACAC).
BOYS TENNIS:
Adams Central beat Bellmont…read the recap here…
South Adams came away with a 5-0 victory at Blackford. Winners in singles were Conner Hyman, Ian Neuenschwander, and Kane Sturwold. Cole Hyman and Will Mawhorr teamed up to win at 1 Doubles, while Kade Sprunger and Gabe Neuenschwander won at 2 Doubles.
Norwell was shut out by Carroll 5-0.
In a rain shortened night, Manchester defeated Bluffton 3-0 in completed matches.
GIRLS GOLF:

At Wabash Valley, South Adams defeated Bluffton 198-208. South Adams was led by Julia Arnold 47, Addy Hinton and Brooklyn Green each had 49, Megan Yoder 53, and Adyson Toland 55. Bluffton was led by the meet medalist Emma Schwartz 45, Tressa Renner and Piper Morgan 53, Eve Corkwell 54, and Aleeah Grover 62.
Norwell fell at DeKalb 166-182. Anna Dodane and Ellie Gatton each fired a 44, Emmy Heaston and Emma Dodane carded 47s, and Nevada Lenwell 51.
CROSS COUNTRY:
Norwell played host to the Bi-County Conditioner. This is run in a Hokum Karem format, where two runners alternate running one mile for a total of 6 miles. For the girls, Adams Central’s Gabi Landis & Madison Gerber placed 1st, followed by teammates Addison Gilbert & Alyssa Fruechte. Norwell’s Haleigh Reinhard & Alana Cady were 3rd. For the boys, Bluffton’s Jude Baumgartner & Levi Johns were first, followed by South Adams’ Dakota Sprunger & Wyatt Mann, and Norwell’s Gage Reinhard & Gavin Threewits. Adams Central won both the girls and boys team competition.
