Bellmont picked up a victory at Cross Creek over Columbia City 201-222. Meghan Pettibone was the meet medalist with a 44, Krosbi Butler 51, Ella Hockemeyer and Abigail Blythe each carded a 53, while Addi Johnson fired a 63.
Pettibone’s performance was a big step forward after a slow start to the season. and represented her best round of the year.
“Good win for us tonight,” noted coach Mike Macke. “Meghan got her game back on track with her best nine and the next three girls all hung around 50 again, which has been the trend.”
Macke also noted that Johnson notched her first career varsity birdie, a two on the eleventh hole.
The Braves are now 2-0 on the year.
Timber Ridge Golf Course kept busy on Tuesday…Bluffton, Adams Central, and Woodlan played on the front 9, where Bluffton won with a 213, followed by Woodlan 228, and Adams Central 245. Bluffton was led by the meet medalist Emma Schwartz with a 48, Tressa Renner 52, Eve Corkwell 53, Piper Morgan 60, Aleeah Grover 68. For Adams Central they were paced by Kate Moser’s 55, Lily Hurst 57, Emilee Hirschy 64, Sophie Johnson 69, and Mel Eicher 70.
Meanwhile on the back 9, Norwell was victorious with a 192, followed by Southern Wells 231, and Eastbrook 238. The Lady Knights were led by meet medalist Nevada Lenwell with a 46, Emmy Heaston 47, Anna Dodane 48, Ellie Gatton 51, and Savanna Simerman 58. For Southern Wells, they were led by Kolby Beavans 53, Caroling Ripperger 56, Erica Beavans 60, Sophie Meeks 62, and Hailey Vanover 72.
