South Adams returned to the more familiar grounds of Wabash Valley Tuesday and came away with a victory over neighboring Fort Recovery, 212-222.
Addy Hinton won medalist honors and showed some major resiliency, shaking off a terrible front nine a week earlier, when she shot 69 at the SA Invite, by carding a 50. The 19-stroke improvement was the key to the Starfires’ victory over the Ohio opponents.
Ady Toland and Brooklyn Green also shaved a few strokes on the front from their last round at Wabash Valley.
The girls will have a few days to work on their short game before playing at Honeywell in the Wabash Invitational Saturday.
