Nathan R. Lengerich, 39, of Berne, IN, passed away at 9:31 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at his residence in Berne. He was born on Wednesday, December 7, 1983, in Bluffton, IN. Nate was a 2002 graduate of South Adams High School. He attended Indiana Tech and graduated along with the class of 2006. He worked in human resources for 16 years. Nate enjoyed spending time with his children, and his family and friends. He loved golfing, watching football and basketball, fishing, and playing cards. Nate was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church in Geneva.
Nate is survived by, and will be sadly missed by his mother – Janet E. Lengerich, Berne, IN, daughter – Hadley Lengerich, Berne, IN, daughter – Adalynn Lengerich, Berne, IN, sister – Angie (Clint) Medley, Lawrenceburg, TN, brother – Jeff (Cindy) Lengerich, Franklin, IN, sister – Cindy (John) Drysdale, Bedford, PA, sister – Julie (Craig) Kosac, Swanton, VT, sister – Krista (Eddie) Nickles, Huntington, IN, sister – Cassy (Craig) Liechty, Burlington, KY, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Lawrence Lengerich, who passed away in 2018, and his two angel babies.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, located at 100 N. Washington Street, Geneva, on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There will be a rosary prayer service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
A service to celebrate Nate’s life will be at St. Mary’s of the Presentation Catholic Church, 5790 E 1100 S. Geneva, IN at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 5, 2023, with Father Jonathan Chinonye Agbedo officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s of the Presentation Catholic Church Cemetery in Geneva.
