A nine-run top of the fourth inning was enough to end a doubleheader between Adams Central and New Haven Friday night. After playing 11 innings in the first game, the two teams played just four innings after the big rally by the Jets, which was capped by back-to-back doubles by Keagen Combs and Logan Uhlman.
The Jets turned to Ryan Tester on the mound in the second game and he lasted three innings, allowing just three hits and two runs, striking out four.
Robby Ellenberger pitched the final inning for Adams Central, allowing an unearned run.
Jack Hamilton added two more hits, knocking in two, while Combs and Van De Weg had two hits each.Â
Six different Jets had doubles in the four-inning game.
The Jets travel to Eastbrook Monday.
