The South Adams girls team finished fourth in a very competitive meet at Minster Memorial High School in Ohio thanks, in part, to a victory in the meet by freshman phenom Kapri Bixler.
“Kapri had a great day making the finals in the 100 hurdles and then winning in the 300 hurdles,” said coach Clint Anderson after the meet. “Bixlers can hurdle and we are blessed to have them.”
Meet Notes:
-Kapri Bixler was fourth in the 100 hurdles finals with a career PR of 16.37.
-Adrienne McKean was fourth in the 400 with a season-best time of 1:02.55.
-Bixler had the best performance of the day for the Starfires, winning the 300 hurdles with a PR of 48.48.
-Ava Schmit was fourth behind Bixler in the same event with her PR of 49.11.
-McKean also had a season best in the 200 finals, where she finished third.
-Clancy Hawbaker threw a season-best distance of 94-09 and took fourth place in the discus.
