The Bellmont Braves met a tough foe Tuesday night on their home courts and were swept in singles play by Bishop Dwenger. The teams split varsity doubles, with Bellmont winning at No. 2 Doubles with Marisol Jackson and Lucie McIntire playing together for the first time this year.Â
The Dwenger singles players were dominant on serve and freshman Lillian Jin was the only Bellmont individual to win a set, taking the first with ease before Anna Yoder settled into her game and came back to win the next two.
Jackson and McIntire won love-two to save the Braves from the shutout.Â
The team is back home for another meet against Wayne on Thursday.
