Zaden Baumer’s home run in the first inning set the tone for the South Adams Starfires Tuesday night at Woodlan, leading them to a 6-4 victory in the ACAC with the help of a no-hit start by Derek Weaver.

Weaver pitched into the fifth inning until he reached 100 pitches, not allowing a hit while striking out seven Warrior batters. He did issue six walks, but none of them scored.
Coach Buckingham called on Kade Sprunger to finish out the fifth. He allowed two runs before giving way to Derek McKean, who got the last four outs of the game and struck out two.

Sty Pyle drove in a pair of runs with a double in the third off Will DeLagrange, who was replaced thereafter by Jordan Halsey. Halsey gave up two more runs in the fifth on a Derek Weaver double, but he did rack up eight strikeouts.
The Starfires finished with a total of 12 hits. Baumer also had a single, while Pyle had another double later in the game. McKean also had a pair of singles.
The Stars now sit in fourth place overall in the ACAC with successes in their last two games against the bottom two teams in the conference.
