The Adams County Commissioners have decided to build a new justice center in downtown Decatur, and on Tuesday, the Adams County Council authorized funding to move that project forward.
WZBD’s Ed Thurman spoke with Commissioners President Steve Bailey about the project and what all it will include…
The Commissioners will be meeting soon with to lay out details with the architect, but they don’t know how soon construction might begin.

It was also officially announced Tuesday that Mark Burry will soon step down as county attorney, a position he has held since 1997. Burry says his work schedule will change to more of an advisory role to county officials and to other attorneys inside his law firm. One of those attorneys, Clayton Lengerich, will take over as county attorney at the start of August.
