As a part of the kickoff of the Decatur Sculpture Tour last Friday, Decatur mayor Dan Rickord presented Susan Roe with a key to the city.
Roe has been instrumental in the advancement of the sculpture tour and has helped in analyzing the various sculptures which are on display each year and helping to place them at their exhibit locations throughout the city.
Susan Roe has also been dedicated to the enhancement of art in Decatur by being involved with the Decatur Arts Commission and the North Adams Arts Council. She also assisted in the development of The Hive in downtown Decatur as well.
Mayor Dan Rickord said he presented the key to the city to Roe in recognition of her over two decades of effort to enhance the arts in our community.
