South Adams reached the championship match of Saturday’s ACAC Volleyball Tourney with straightforward wins in their pool against rival Adams Central and Jay County, but, like last year’s sectional final, they were unable to beat Woodlan as the Warriors celebrated a conference tourney title at Heritage High School.

The Starfires steamrolled Adams Central in straight sets, with Reagan Beitler burning the Jets for four aces. Ana Lehman and Reagan Bollenbacher each had five kills in the win.
It was a nearly identical scoreline in the pool play win over Jay County.

In the championship match, South Adams looked to be on their way to the title with a thrilling win in the opening set, but Woodlan showed their class and reminded the Stars why they are the defending sectional champs.

Reagan Bollenbacher led the Stars with ten kills in the loss.
