The recent rains have not dampened the Adams Central bats as the Jets picked up their fourth win in a row Friday, beating Blackhawk Christian in five innings, 16-6.
The Jets’ four-game run has seen them score 42 runs in eight days.
Cade Van De Weg got his final tune-up before sectional against the Braves, striking out eight in his five innings of work for the W. He allowed six hits and two walks.
Hayden Bluhm and Reece Hammond both had triples in the game, with Bluhm driving in two runs and Hammond knocking in three in the victory.

Joey Everett was 2-for-2 with a walk and three runs batted in from the leadoff spot.
Adams Central were only one pitch away from winning the game in the top of the fifth before Blackhawk scored twice to cut the Jets’ lead to 13-6.

The late rally required Adams Central to come to bat in the bottom half of the inning, needing three runs to put the game away. The task got much easier when both Jamison Roach and Carson Ross were plunked to lead off the inning. Jacob Miller loaded the bases with a single and Hammond knocked in Roach with an RBI groundout.

That brough up Everett to finish off the game and he did just that, doubling to left to end the game.
The Jets will rest up for their sectional opener against Woodlan next week.
