South Adams won by the run rule Thursday as they hosted the Bluffton Tigers to kick off conference play, winning 16-1 to bounce back from a tough loss to East Noble the night before.
Addie Baker allowed just two hits and an unearned run, striking out nine and allowing just one walk.

Bekah Patterson led the way from the leadoff spot, knocking in three runs and scoring four times with a 2-for-3 night. She had the game’s only extra-base hit, a double.
The Starfires will look to go 2-0 in the ACAC when they travel to Heritage Tuesday for WZBD’s featured game of the night. First, they’ll play Central Noble at home Saturday.
