The talent of the Bellmont squad was on full display Saturday night as they held Heritage to one Danica Fuller three pointer in the first half and went on to beat the Patriots, 78-18.
Oni Krueckeberg led the Braves, who are now 5-0, with 15 points.
Union City 43 South Adams 41
South Adams took a four-point lead into the final quarter against Union City Saturday, but it was the Indians who came away with the victory.
Laney Trausch, Ana Lehman and Shaylee Sprunger each had ten points for the Stars, but an 11 for 23 night at the free throw lined doomed the team’s hopes of pulling off the victory.
Oaklee Reichard had 24 points for the home team to lead all scorers, going 8 of 9 from the line.
“Our girls did a nice job throughout the game of battling,” noted head coach Brett Freeman after the game. “We were getting on the board for some second-chance points and also getting on the floor for some loose balls. Unfortunately, we struggled from the free throw line tonight, but we did a nice job of getting there.”
