One week before putting their season on the line, the Bellmont Braves took their best shot at the Delta cross country course in a 17-team invitational Saturday.
The boys team came away with a sixth-place finish.

Luke Moster of Guerin Catholic and New Haven’s Bryan Garcia battled for the individual win, racing better than a 16-minute pace with Moster winning by 4.8 seconds (15:50.10)
Fresh off a season best at the NE8 meet, Harry Gunsett went even faster and took 28th place for the Braves.
Coach Randy Hisner noted that sophomore Hudson Krull was hampered by an ankle injury and not at his best Saturday.

Cayden Rauch had his best time of the year for the Braves.

For the girls, it was Josie Kinnaman of Greenfield-Central who won by 25 seconds over Guerin freshman Taylor Tragesser. Ava Beaty of Leo was eighth.
Sydney Angel was the top runner for the Bellmont Braves, taking 30th in 22:07.

Isabella Suarez, Jaylin Reed and Allison Allmon each ran season bests, as well.
