Dakota Sprunger cut 15 seconds from his first 5K of the year to lead the South Adams Starfires to strong placing in an event that included nearly two dozen Ohio schools in Greenville, Ohio Saturday.
Versailles (OH) won the event with an impressive team score of 39, putting four runners in the top 10 and all five scorers in the top 16.
The Starfires finished in eighth place out of the 24 schools involved with 255 points.
Deacon Bierbaum and Carson Laux both trimmed 40+ seconds from their previous race to finish in the top 50.
Maddox Miller was 43 seconds better than a week ago.
