Jack Riehm scored a second half consolation prize for the Bellmont Braves, but three first-half goals were too much to overcome as BHS dropped to 0-1 in the NE8 Thursday.

Parker Frietas made three saves in the first half for Bellmont, but a late penalty awarded to the Eagles was converted and the visitors led 3-0 at the half.

Coach Derek Trobeck went back to his usual routine of splitting time at goal and Xavior Palacios kept the Eagles out of the net for the final 40 minutes.
Taufeeq Ally provided the assist on Riehm’s goal.

The Braves were without midfielder Jack Johnson after an injury sustained in Wednesday’s 1-0 win against Snider.
