Trevor Callahan was appointed as Root Township Board Member and sworn in by Adams County Clerk Shelly Brite on Tuesday at the Adams County Courthouse.
Callahan is filling the rest of the term as Root Township Board Member due to the resignation of Gunner Butler, who recently moved outside the township.

Adams County Republican Chairman Steve Justus appointed Mr. Callahan to the position.
“I am confident that Trevor Callahan will serve the taxpayer well as he has a heart for the community. Trevor is active with local Republican politics and law enforcement,” said Justus.
Trevor Callahan, an Adams Central graduate, and his wife, Nikki, have been married for 23 years. Trevor is a Sergeant with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, where he has served the citizens of Adams County for 20 years.
“Trevor’s passion for serving his community will assist him in fulfilling the duties of a Root Township Board Member. He looks forward to representing the taxpayers of Root Township,” said Justus.
