A scary accident at the Ohio-Indiana State Line was reported Thursday by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Four people were transported to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash was called in just west of the State Line on 224.
The vehicle involved was identified as a dual-cab box truck belonging to Perfect Steel Solutions and it was reportedly traveling east on 224 when the driver, identified as Christofer Colt (34) of Warsaw, looked down to check his GPS.
The curve in US 224 at the State Line has long been a dangerous place and known for causing accidents.
According to the report, the vehicle left the roadway and Colt overcorrected, causing the truck to roll and come to a stop upside down just south of the highway.
All four people taken from the scene were taken with non-life-threatening injuries.
Local first responders closed the highway temporarily to help in the response.
Sheriff Mawhorr’s office made special note of two employees of Adams Memorial Hospital who stopped and provided assistance to the injured before first responders arrived.
