One of the most recognizable names in Indiana politics will be making an appearance in Decatur on Saturday.
Beau Bayh, a seventh generation Hoosier who is the Democratic candidate for Secretary of State this year, will make a campaign stop at Two Brothers in Decatur from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.
Adams County Democrat Party officials say this will be a “meet and greet.”
Birch Evans Bayh, 30, is the son Susan and Evan Bayh. He and his twin brother, Nick, were born while Evan was serving as Indiana’s governor.

A Harvard Law graduate, the former Marine is the grandson of longtime senator Birch Bayh.
PARTY EVENT: Tickets are now on sale for the Adams County Democratic Party’s fall dinner and fundraising event, to be held Saturday, Oct. 10, at Knights Land Hall, 1703 High St. in Decatur.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The featured speaker for the event will be Kelly Thompson, Democratic candidate for Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District seat.
Also scheduled to speak are Timothy Murphy, running for the Indiana Senate seat in District 19, and Chad Wierzbinski, 3rd CD chairman.
Ashely Theurer, chairman of the party, said she urges area Democrats to attend the dinner to meet local, state and federal candidates and to help send a message of discontent to current political leaders.
