The decision has been made by Adams County leaders to build a new justice center in downtown Decatur and to remodel the inside of the Adams County Courthouse to better suit today’s needs.
Now comes the paperwork and planning to get the job done.
County Engineer Nate Rumschlag has been chosen to oversee the planning as the project’s administrator. He spoke at length with the Commissioners during Tuesday’s meeting about the process of hiring contractors and moving forward with the project.
Commissioners President Steve Bailey told WZBD’s Ed Thurman that there’s a lot of work to do behind the scenes before the construction can actually begin…
Bailey says the process is slow, but it will be worth it for Adams County in the long run.
