Sherryll Ann Sprunger, 82, passed away on Saturday July 25, 2026, at her residence in Woodcrest, Decatur, In. She was the daughter of Raymond and Ernestine Liechty Sprunger, born on July 4th, 1944.
Sherryll graduated from Berne French High School in 1962 and Lutheran Hospital of Nursing in Ft. Wayne in 1965. She worked for many years as a head nurse in the maternity ward at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. She was a former member of the Grace Bible church in Berne and attended the Missionary church while residing in Ft. Wayne.
In high school Sherryll’s interests were playing the trumpet in the school band, pep band, and singing in the Acapella choir. Her interests and hobbies were her beloved dog, Mollie, needleworking, crochet, traveling twice to Switzerland, Israel, and more.
Sheryll leaves behind cousins, Arlene Huffman, Lynn Sprunger, Jean Spunger, Neil VonGunten, Stan VonGunten, Kaye Voth, Keith Frank, Kent Frank, Kurt Frank, Rodney Liechty, Beth Meyer, Floyd Liechty, Deryll Liechty, Adrian Biberstine, Ted Biberstine, Donna Roth, John Bibertstine, Mike Liechty, Audrey Chapman, and Lori Myers.
Preceding her in death are her parents and cousins are Janet Bixler, Colleen Hodge, and Bradley Liechty.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30th, at 2:30 p. m. at Liechty Funeral Home, Berne In. Pastor Jeff Gaskill of the Grace Bible Church will officiate the service with burial at the M. R. E. Cemetery. Calling time will be 1 hour before the 2:30 service at Liechty Funeral Home. Burial immediately following at the M R E cemetery.
