The Bishop Luers Knights and Bellmont Braves put their conditioning and grit to the test Wednesday evening for a rescheduled game between the two schools and it was the visiting Knights who scored a decisive 60-40 non-conference victory.
The Braves returned to their home gym after a 19-point win over South Adams to face a Luers team that needed overtime to beat Huntington North the night before, but it was the Knights who looked more prepared to play, jumping out to a big 25-4 lead after the first quarter. The Braves managed just a pair of buckets, one from Cam Summers and one from Beau Baker, in the opening eight minutes.

Daniel Selking found his shooting form in the second quarter, knocking down a pair of threes, but he was unable to draw the Braves any closer.
The Braves played the Knights evenly throughout the second half, but the cushion from the opening half was more than enough for the easy victory.
Bellmont Scoring: D. Selking 20, E. Baker 7, C. Summers 6, Schultz 5, B. Baker 2
Luers Scoring: English 14, Taylor 14, Moore 9, Jones 5, Murphy 5, Marenzy 4, Crowe 4, Szerferski 3, Davis 2
