With the recent retirement of longtime Adams County 4H youth educator Amy Rumschlag, a new leader has taken over the job. Tuesday was the first day on the job for new 4H educator Ashlyn Jackson and she was introduced to the county commissioners meeting and spoke with our Ed Thurman…
Jackson says her first priorities are to meet 4H leaders and participants as well as local leaders in Adams County she says she’s looking forward to her first Adams County fair coming up this summer
Meanwhile, the Adams County Commissioners want to enact a new ordinance that will cover parking at county facilities like the courthouse and the government center. Currently, there are no rules governing who can park there and for how long. The commissioners fear some parties could try to park there for long periods of time…including during business hours. Commissioners President Steve Bailey says that there is need to set down the rules to be fair to everyone…
Bailey says they want to prohibit overnight and long-term parking in the county lots so they can be used fairly by employees and by the public.
