Rick Arnold, age 73, of Geneva and former Portland resident passed away on Sunday January 11, 2026 in Adams Woodcrest Senior Living in Decatur. He was born in Albany on April 5, 1952 the son of Dorwin and Lelia (Sutton) Arnold. He was married on January 1, 1995 to Nancy Shauver and she passed away on April 2, 2009. Rick had worked at EPC in Geneva and Cline Wilt Lumber in Portland. He was a 1970 Albany High School graduate and loved cats and NASCAR.
Surviving is one son Matthew Arnold (wife Ashley) of Clarksville, Tennessee and one daughter Katrina Ann Boyd of Evansville, a step daughter Jessica Cruz of Hartford City, Eight grandchildren and special family members Randy and Joan Sutton and their daughter Deb Sutton King.
Funeral services will be Monday January 19th at 2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Cat Tales in Portland.
