The Adams Central swim team met up with Coldwater Tuesday night to get the season fully underway for 2025-26 and a strong team of boys this season gave the Jetskis a convincing win on the boys’ side, while the girls did not have enough depth to compete with their Ohio opponents.
The Jets showed off their depth by entering three full relay teams in the 200 Free Relay.
Notes & Times:
-Senior Ella Bluhm came in under seven minutes in the 500, a good start to the season for the Jets’ top long-distance swimmer.
-Danica Michaels won the backstroke with a season-best time.
-The Jets had outstanding performances for the first meet of the season in the 200 Free, with Ethan Crockett just .04 short of his season best last year. Tristen Wurm and Treyten Tomkinson both swam career bests in the season-opening meet.
-Logan Heiman won the 100 Free with a lightning-fast time of 58.63, a career best. Additionally, the time was better than any time on the team in the previous season.
-The Jets’ top team in the 200 Free Relay was Heiman, Tristen Morgan, Crockett and Wurm. They won in 1:47.48, just 3.3 seconds off the team’s best time last year.
-Damon Light got off to a great start on his diving season, scoring 223.75 as the only competitor.
The Jets will compete against South Adams Tuesday in their home waters.
