Kate Kitson drained four first-half threes and staked the Bellmont Braves to a big lead in the first half, then led the team to an astonishing 30-0 run as the visitors initiated the running clock in the fourth quarter in a 68-30 victory Tuesday night in a game heard live on WZBD, 92.7 FM.

Kitson finished the night with 23 points, all of them in the opening three quarters of the game.

Dwenger hit a three to kick off the second half, then went ice cold as Bellmont’s halftime lead of 18 points got all the way up to 45 at one point in the final stanza.

The Braves knocked down nine shots from behind the arc on a big shooting night. Ashley Bleke nailed two in the fourth quarter to give herself a double-digit-scoring night of ten points.
Marianne Bleke dominated down low and finished with twelve points for the Braves in the win.
Bellmont will take on Jay County in their home opener Friday.
