Third time’s a charm.
That is what coach Ashley Buckingham and the South Adams Starfires are hoping for Saturday when they face the Woodlan Warriors for the third time this season.

South Adams stayed alive in the tournament with a straight-set sweep of Blackhawk Christian (25-20, 25-16, 25-22), while Woodlan eliminated Adams Central from the tournament by a score of 3-1.

Reagan Bollenbacher led the Starfires with 19 kills in the sweep.
Laney Trausch and Reagan Beitler had 18 and 17 assists, respectively.

Saturday afternoon’s clash between the two rivals in the ACAC will evoke memories of last year’s epic sectional final, when the Warriors defended their home court and moved on to regional at the expense of the Starfires.

Fans of the Starfires can hear the sectional games Saturday on 92.7 FM and the YouTube channels.
