
It was a straight-set victory for the Heritage Patriots in a crucial ACAC affair in Monroe, while South Adams took care of business (as expected) against Southern Wells.

The Patriots won their season opener in the ACAC in convincing fashion over the Jets.

Homestead 3 Bellmont 0 25-17, 25-22, 25-17
MaryKate Scheumann had eight kills and ten digs to lead the Braves against Homestead, the team that knocked them out of last year’s state tournament and ended their streak of sectional trophies.
Lilly Selking returned to the court and led the team in assists with 14, Gracie Riggs also played at setter and recorded ten assists.

Taylor Sutter had seven kills, while Kaylee Kolter continued her improved play in recent weeks with five kills.





The Braves will have an extended period of practice, with their next game scheduled against Adams Central on Monday evening. That matchup between two Adams County teams can be heard on 92.7 FM.
South Adams 3 Southern Wells 0 25-19, 25-23, 25-16
The Stars took care of business in their conference opener, getting ten kills from Reagan Bollenbacher, who also had two aces.
Reagan Beitler had 14 assists to go with her seven kills.
The Starfires will have a much tougher opponent Thursday when they travel to Heritage to take on the Patriots.
