
It was a road victory in the ACAC for South Adams Thursday, but Heritage lost at Timber Ridge to Bluffton and the Bellmont Braves lost on their home course to NE8 leaders DeKalb in a busy night of high school golf, with the sectional tournament looming in just two weeks’ time.

Morgan Comment led the Patriots with a round of 52.

At Cross Creek: DeKalb 166 Bellmont 188
The Barons showed why they are leading the NE8 with a perfect record with their outstanding performance on the back nine at Cross Creek. Their #3, Jadan Tompkins, shot a +3 39 for medalist honors.
Ella Hockemeyer had her best round on the back all season long to get the girls on the good side of 190. It was one of the best efforts of the year for the Braves collectively.
Kinley Martin’s round of 45 was her best score of this season. Lyla Post added a birdie on her final hole.

At Dogwood Glen: South Adams 209 Southern Wells 212
Brooklyn Green was once again the medalist in this ACAC match, leading the Starfires with a round of 49. The Stars got excellent rounds of 51 from Kendall Minger and Sophia Orr in a match where every stroke counted, with the visitors winning by three strokes.

Both teams will meet again at Cross Creek for the ACAC tournament.
