Muriel Ann Bowen, 88, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday morning, September 2, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Decatur, IN, on January 25, 1937, the daughter of the late Merle and Lucile C. (Byer) Foor. On April 16, 1958, Ann married Allen W. Bowen, he preceded her in death on March 21, 2022.
She attended St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Ann was a homemaker, worked for International Harvester for 31 years and Decatur Veterinary Hospital for 22 years.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Rex) Harris of West Chester, OH; a son-in-law, David Reihman of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Karen Evans of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Nicholas Reihman & Carli Reihman; great grandchildren, McKenzie & Aiden.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 64 years, “Big Al” Bowen; a daughter, Melanie Reihman; 2 sisters, Myrna Raudenbush & Ada Odle.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation an hour prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Pastor David Reed will be officiating and burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to ACCF Angel Cancer Fund or St. Vincent De Paul.
