Facing a forecast of rain, the Decatur Chamber of Commerce called off Thursday’s scheduled Motor Sports Festival and The Bulldogs concert.
The Chamber posted an announcement that rain was forecast to begin around 4 p.m., when the car show was scheduled to start, and continue through 6:30 or so.

Chamber officials were concerned that the forecast would keep many of the car owners from showing up.
The Bulldogs were slated to hit the Madison St. Plaza stage at 7 for what would have been the 13th and final concert in the Chamber’s 2025 series.
The car show and performance by the Bulldogs have been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 11.
Next Thursday, Adams Health Senior Living will hold its annual free concert on the plaza, featuring the Sweetwater All-Stars from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
